The Old Melbourne Gaol is a museum and former prison constructed of bluestone, it is located next to the old City Police Watch House and City Court buildings. It's construction started in 1839 and was in operation between 1845 and 1924.
The Old Melbourne Gaol includes three sites - the Old Melbourne Gaol, the former City Watch House and Court One of the former Magistrates' Court.
The precinct offers adult groups and students in upper primary, secondary, ESL and tertiary levels a variety of facilitated programs.
They offer education packages suitable for all secondary levels and some primary levels.
