Industry World
Runs tours for both primary (over 10yrs) and secondary students. Schools are able to do a Steel tour, a Port tour or both. A huge range of curriculum outline documents, teachers notes excursion workbooks plus worksheets are available, downloadable on-line. Just some of the subject focuses include: -

- Australian Resources - Iron Steel plus the Environmental Science stage 4/5.
- The Copper Industry - Science stage 6.
- HSC Geography case study - People and Economic activity.
- The Local Steel Industry case study - The Port Kembla Steel Works.
Facilities include a 60 seat Theatrette, an exhibition room seating 100, disabled access, coach parking and parklands suitable for meal breaks.
Science Centre and Planetarium
The Science Centre houses the states leading planetarium. Only 50 minutes from Sutherland and Cambeltown. School admission includes hands-on exhibitions, Science show plus Planetarium show. Stimulate your students natural curiosity with two floors of interactive hands-on exhibits. With over 120 exhibits to explore, you'll discover something around every corner.
Futureworld Eco Technology Centre
Futureworld is a unique eco technology exhibition centre. That is located in Warrawong near Port Kembla just south of Wollongong NSW. It has a range of 'world first' green house friendly equipment and ideas to observe, the list includes: -

Minnamurra Rainforest Centre
The park
features a Rain Forest Education Centre with opportunity to view and
study this rare remnant of rainforest which once covered vast areas of
the Illawarra region. Minnamurra Rainforest is particularly special
because of the diversity of rainforests types, the range of Ferns and
Wildlife that exists within a relatively small area.
The Minnamurra Rainforest Centre provides a number of superior educational packages suitable for years K -6, covering specific outcomes set out in the HSIE Syllabus and units of work.
The Original Gold Rush Colony

The Original Gold Rush Colony is located on the NSW South coast just south of Bateman's Bay, it is a reconstructed village depicting life in the 1850's. Pan for real gold, visit the antique machinery shed, get a 'wanted' picture taken, check out authentic buildings and static displays and listen to the on-site working rock crusher.

Mogo Zoo
Mogo Zoo is on the NSW South coast just south of Bateman's Bay only 2km's away from The Original Gold Coast Colony.

Mogo Zoo is privately owned and has world standard facilities for over 200 animals of more than 42 rare and exotic species, including the White Lions of 'Timbavati'. Mogo Zoo also boasts the largest collection of primates in any private zoo in Australia.
Kiama Family History Centre
Step back in time and retrace the steps of our pioneering first settlers as they journey from their home countries to a new life in Australia. This award winning centre has been conducting educational programs on subjects as wide ranging as convicts, social history, family history, WW I and immigration since 1989. All programs fit perfectly into the Geography I, History, HSIE education curriculum for years 4 -12. Comphrensive workbooks provided pre during and post excursion have been written specifically for the History syllabus.
Jamberoo Recreation Park
Jamberoo Recreation Park is a unique venue where the fun starts the minute you arrive. A great fun day as an add to an educational excursion or a fun day in itself! Come and enjoy 4 hours of fun when you can or plan to come on a specially allocated Primary School only day. Pre booked lunch packs can be ordered at a discount.
Australia's Museum of Flight
Australia's
Museum of Flight at Nowra is the country's largest aviation museum and
a leading cultural attraction. Located adjacent to the Royal Australian
Naval Air Station, the museum has a particular focus on naval aviation
and there are over 22 aircraft on display with various exhibitions
charting the history of Australian aviation.
Nan Tien Temple
The Nan Tien Temple offers a wide range of educational facilites for students of all ages. A visit to the temple is particularly advantageous for those students studying Multiculturalism, Asian Studies, Society and Culture Religions of the World and Art. For these students information on Buddhism, Sacred sites, ritual, architecture, sculpture, painting and landscapes is offered.
Included in all tours is a visit to the museum, where a general exhibition is housed along with periodical special exhibits.
Illawarra Motoring Museum
At the Illawarra Motoring Museum you will discover how the bicycle developed into the motor cycle and how the management of petrol pumps, signs and accessories all went to establish a motor industry able to survive and grow to this day. Current historical exhibits are diverse in nature and include typewriters dating back to the late 1800's telephones, gramophones, petrol pumps and workshop exhibits. Excursions are fully guided and include demonstrations and activities.
Umbarra Aboriginal Cultural Centre and Tours
Umbarra Cultural Centre is set in the natural bush surrounds of Wallaga Lake (Near Narooma) and offers a large range of educational programs which include lots of hands-on activities.
